THE BUDDY HOLLY SERIES
at The Royal Albert Hall
Peggy Sue Got Married
Mick was commissioned by The Buddy Holly Educational Foundation to build several replicas of Buddy's 1943 J45. The first in the series, named Peggy Sue Got Married, was presented to Allan Clarke of Hollies fame by Graham Nash - pictured - at The Royal Albert Hall Crosby/Nash 2011 concert.
You'll find a gallery of photos of the instrument on the guitars page.
Hank Marvin, Mick Johnson, Bruce Welch
A dream come true . . .
Mick pictured with two of his all time heroes. These are the guys responsible for legions of guitarists' love affairs with the instrument, and Mick is truly honoured to have presented them with these very special guitars. Two more in the Buddy Holly series of J45 replicas - Hank's is You're The One, and Bruce's is Cryin'g Waiting, Hoping. A magical moment!
